WORLD SUMMIT OFFICIALLY OPENED
World Summit on Media for Children and Youth was opened yesterday by Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth.
By publicing a new status on her Facebook Page Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth officially opened the 6’th World Summit on Media for Children and Youth in Karlstad, Sweden.
The opening started as it should with children performing a ”rain dance”. Followed by several short speaches from Patricia Edgar, Alton Grizzle and Per Lundgren and others.
Hans Rosling did it again
The first conference speech was held by Hans Rosling. He did a stunning show as usual. A sucess they say. He talked about students who learned old stuff from their teachers ”from the time that the techers themselves were born” as he said. Knowledge from 1950 is not the same as the life in 2010, a lot has changed. Rosling showed us a funny way of learning and showed statistics from then and now.
It was amazing, he is so charming, a really great show. There where many applause and laughs during the speech but also some serious important points that Mr Rosling showed during the conference.
He also pointed that China have some more important plans and questions for the future than the United States. The question is, are we ready for the future?
